LA Babies, Goapele is coming to town next week to perform songs from her new album, Break of Dawn, at the Key Club on Tuesday, November 8th at 7:30 pm. Fans of Goapele will be surprised at the new sound presented by the Bay Area native. Goapele, who has been described as “the spiritual love child of Sade and D’Angelo” is back after a six-year hiatus with an album that showcases a more sensual side to the songstress. In the creation of this new project, Goapele states, “I came into this business as a young woman who wanted to be taken seriously for my music, but, now I’m more willing to share my sexiness as well. I realize that it’s possible to be both complex and provocative.”
